Extra-clear glass

Extra-clear glass

In order to realize its doors Niamè uses only extra-clear glass.

The extra-clear glass is float glass, which is characterized for an highly lighting transmission, and an almost non-existent coloring, thanks to the composition with the extremely low content of iron oxide.

This material, colorless and extremely transparent, is very appreciated for its aesthetic and optical qualities; architects, in particular, prefer it for its transparence and neutrality.

In projects where the edges of glass are intentionally put in evidence as architectonic characteristic, the extra-clear glass allows the valorization of glass transparency, diminishing contrasts between face and edge, removing the typical green coloring of the standard clear glass.
